The Department of Health and Aged Care is looking for enthusiastic and high performing team members to fill an APS6 role in the NT Office based in Darwin.

As departmental officers in the Northern Territory Office, you will work collaboratively to perform a range of functions including stakeholder engagement, program assurance and stewardship of the health and aged care system.

The successful candidates will be motivated, have strong stakeholder engagement experience and be able to manage productive working relationships with internal and external service providers and stakeholders, as well as:

• Contribute to the development Northern Territory section planning, managing priorities and workloads.
• Represent the department at engagement activities with community, aged care, and health stakeholders throughout the Northern Territory.
• Develop and maintain a robust working knowledge of relevant aged care legislation and policy, reform activities, and priorities in aged care.
• Support providers and stakeholders by responding to program and technical queries and connecting to appropriate resources.
• Work in partnership with key stakeholders to support local solution brokerage and delivery of program outcomes.
• Undertake stewardship activities to enhance the governance of health and aged care and support better outcomes for Territorians.
• Support emergency response activities where required.
