Bloom Pelvic Health is a private practice physiotherapy clinic specialising in continence, pregnancy and pelvic health physiotherapy. Our main focus at Bloom is to deliver high quality and personalised pelvic health physiotherapy care to women, men and children, with a particular focus on pregnancy, the childbearing years and life beyond. Our clinic is located 10 minutes north of Perth CBD in Stirling.
We are seeking either a part-time or casual pelvic health physiotherapist to join us for roughly 15 hours per week. Days and hours are negotiable, with either two full days or two to three half days available. Our ideal start date is the end of July/start of August to take over from an existing staff member moving interstate. For the right person, we are happy to be really flexible.
About Us
Bloom is made up of a small team of 4 pelvic health physiotherapists and 1 paediatric physiotherapist. We are passionate about pelvic health and whilst we work together, there is a lot of independence and flexibility in our work. We provide clinic mentoring, team meetings, case study reviews and external PD presenters to help in developing our physiotherapists analysis, management and treatment of pelvic health clients.
We have a close relationship with GP-Obstetricians, Specialist Obstetricians, Midwives, Lactation Consultants and Gynaecologists within the local areas which results in a high flow of referrals. We also get a lot of self-referrals from our website and word of mouth, having become an established clinic over the past 4 years.
A typical day in the life of a Bloom employee would be seeing someone in their second trimester of pregnancy with pelvic girdle pain, a 6 week postnatal physiotherapy check, some laser for cracked nipples and then a postmenopausal lady with urinary incontinence problems. Your caseload is dynamic and interesting, and can also include paediatrics or male pelvic patients if you would like.
Our pay structure is flexible depending on your preference. We offer either a set hourly rate, or a lower hourly rate as a base with a competitive commission rate on top, whichever you’d prefer.
About You
Our main concern is finding someone who fits into our team, however there are also a few additional necessities:
Postgraduate training in Continence & Pelvic Health (WHAT 5 day intensive course; OR APA Level 1 and Level 2; OR Curtin Grad Cert or Masters – can be in the process of studying but ideally Pelvic Floor Muscle Rehabilitation Unit completed as a minimum).
Competent in performing internal vaginal examinations and performing trans-abdominal real time ultrasound.
Comfortable working independently with lots of autonomy.
Able to build rapport with patients easily with a caring and empathetic nature.
Some experience working as a Pelvic Health Physiotherapist is desirable, but if you’ve recently entered the field we are happy to build and develop your skills.
AHPRA registered and professional indemnity insurance.
If the above sounds like you and you’re keen to join our team, please contact Claire directly on [email protected] or apply via our SEEK advertisement.
