Little Bright Explorers is a privately owned, boutique early learning centre inspired by the educational approach of Reggio Emilia. We have natural learning environments and a nurturing approach to education, supporting children to learn vital life skills and fostering their holistic development and well-being. We are a 50-place centre with 20 children in our Kindy room.

The Role - Early Childhood Teacher

What you'll be doing

As the Early Childhood Teacher within the centre you will be working alongside our Kindy Room Leader to provide engaging individualised programs for children aged 3-5. As a team, you will be responsible for ensuring a respectful, nurturing and unhurried environment with a focus on developing agency, independence, self-regulation and respect as well as implementing play-based literacy and numeracy programs.

Develop and implement engaging, play-based educational programs that cater to the unique needs and interests of our Kindy students

Collaborate with the teaching team to plan, deliver and evaluate curriculum in line with the Early Years Learning Framework

Foster a nurturing, inclusive environment that promotes children's wellbeing, independence and a love of learning

Observe, document and assess children's learning and development, and use this information to inform future planning

Build positive relationships with children, families and the wider community

Mentor and support other educators in the room, acting as an educational leader

Ensure all childcare policies, procedures and regulations are upheld

What we're looking for

We are looking for a teacher who practices professionalism in line with the Professional Standards for Teachers, has good attention to detail and high competency in written English.

We have a highly collaborative team and seek someone who is passionate, professional and dedicated to being a positive role model and leader.

Bachelor of Early Childhood Education or equivalent qualification

Registered or eligible for registration as an Early Childhood Teacher (ECT) in WA

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with children, families and colleagues

A deep understanding of child development, the Early Years Learning Framework and Kindergarten Curriculum.

Demonstrated ability to create engaging, play-based learning experiences that support children's holistic development

Passion for making a positive difference in the lives of young children
