About the role

As an HVAC + R Technician at Airficient Air Conditioning & Refrigeration you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional HVAC & R services to our valued clients. In this full-time position, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of various HVAC + R systems at commercial and residential properties in the Sydney metropolitan area.

What you'll be doing

You’ll be working across a mix of residential and commercial installations and service work, including:

Installing split systems, ducted units, and VRV/VRF systems

Diagnosing faults and performing repairs

Repairing commercial refrigeration equipment

Conducting routine maintenance and commissioning

Communicating clearly with clients and delivering great service

Working both independently and as part of a close-knit team

Install, replace, and upgrade HVAC & R systems and components as needed

Provide expert advice and recommendations to clients on the most suitable HVAC & R solutions for their needs

Maintain detailed records and documentation of all work performed

Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient and timely completion of all HVAC & R -related projects

What we're looking for

Proven experience as an HVAC technician

Minimum 3 years post-apprenticeship experience

Refrigeration & Air Conditioning Trade Certificate or licence

Full Arctick Licence

Strong technical skills and knowledge of HVAC & R systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair

Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking abilities to diagnose and resolve complex HVAC & R issues

Excellent communication skills to provide clear and concise information to clients

Ability to document information on phone and use job management software

A keen attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work

A valid driver's licence and white card
