In collaboration with the Australian Defence Force, Ventia is seeking a Stores Attendant to join our Defence Stores North Queensland team at the Defence base in Townsville.
The Stores Attendant is responsible for the storage and distribution of Defence Force requested items within armouries, health centres and general stores. You will work under general supervision, either individually or in a team environment, preforming a variety of tasks requiring knowledge of customer support, warehousing/stores practices, and procedures.
Responsibilities
- Storing and packing of goods and materials in accordance with procedures
- Preparation of documentation including liaison with suppliers
- Applying quality control techniques to the work
- Checking and maintaining stock quantity, deterioration and shelf-life expiry check
Experiences & Qualifications
- Prior demonstrated experience as a store / warehouse attendant
- Forklift License is desirable
- Computer literatacy with MS Office experience
- Exercises good communication and interpersonal skills
You must be eligible to hold a Defence Security Clearance and therefore must be an Australian Citizen
