About the Company

Our client is a respected leader in the public healthcare sector, known for delivering accessible, high-quality, and community-based mental health services across regional areas. They are currently seeking experienced and passionate Mental Health Clinicians to join their Mental Health Programs and play a critical role in supporting young people and their families through early intervention, crisis response, and recovery.

The Role

Nursing (Div 1 with MH postgrad), Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Social Work

This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Mental Health Clinician to step into a dynamic role within a multidisciplinary team, providing evidence-based, trauma-informed mental health care for children, adolescents, and young adults.

Key responsibilities include:
* Performing acute and routine mental health assessments for individuals aged 0-25
* Delivering individual, group, and family interventions, both therapeutic and pharmacological
* Supporting safety planning, care coordination, and recovery-oriented treatment
* Liaising with families, carers, and external service providers to provide holistic care
* Participating in a 7-day rotating roster (including afternoon shifts)
* Actively contributing to service improvement initiatives and clinical supervision
You'll work closely with the site-based Team Manager and Clinical Lead, and be a vital member of a supportive and progressive community mental health team.

What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you will ideally have:
* At least 2 years of post-registration experience in mental health or child/youth services
* Qualifications and registration in one of the following: Nursing (Div 1 with MH postgrad), Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Social Work
* Demonstrated knowledge of the Mental Health and Wellbeing Act 2022, and other relevant standards and frameworks (e.g., NSQHS, MARAM, CISS/FVISS)
* Strong clinical assessment, crisis management, and documentation skills
* Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team and autonomously
* Current driver's licence and relevant clearances for working with children

Desirable:
* Training in developmental psychiatry or child/youth mental health
* Experience in family violence-informed practice
* Understanding of AOD issues and Guardianship frameworks
* Commitment to reflective practice and service reform
