The Role
As Sommelier at Winnifred’s on Arthur, you will shape exceptional guest experiences by curating a world-class wine program in collaboration with the Director, managing the inventory of all wines onsite, guiding guests with your deep knowledge of wine and champagne, and leading staff training to foster a culture of wine appreciation. While formal certification isn't required, extensive experience in high-end hospitality is essential. You'll join a passionate and welcoming team committed to excellence, collaboration, and creating a warm, inclusive environment for both staff and guests.
About You
To succeed in this role, you should be a dynamic and experienced wine professional with the following qualifications and skills:
Extensive Industry Experience – Over five years of hands-on experience in event planning, hospitality, and the wine industry. Experience in fine dining or upscale cocktail lounges is desirable.
Deep Passion for Wine & Champagne – A strong appreciation and knowledge of champagne, wine, and luxury event experiences.
Inspiring Leadership – A hands-on leader who cultivates a positive, high-performing team by leading with integrity and collaboration.
Unwavering Commitment to Guest Experience – Detail-oriented and customer-focused, always striving to deliver exceptional service.
Dedicated to Safety & Compliance – Certifications in Responsible Service of Alcohol, Food Safety, and First Aid (desirable).
Available to work evenings and weekends as required by the schedule.
