About the role
EUKO is seeking a qualified Disability Support Worker to join our team in Mount Coolum, QLD on a casual basis. As a Disability Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing compassionate care and support to our clients with disability during either; daytime, evening and or overnight hours. This is a crucial role in ensuring the safety and wellbeing of our clients.
What you'll be doing
Providing personal care assistance, including help with bathing, dressing, grooming and meal preparation
Monitoring clients' health, safety and general wellbeing during overnight hours
Implementing behaviour support plans and de-escalating challenging situations
Documenting client progress and any incidents or concerns
Collaborating with the broader care team to ensure consistency of client support
Adhering to all organisational policies, procedures and relevant legislation
What we're looking for
A minimum Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability) or equivalent qualification is preferred.
1-2 years' experience providing direct care and support to individuals with disability, preferably in a residential or overnight setting
Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision while also contributing effectively as part of a team
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families
Flexibility to work a rotating roster, including overnight shifts
A current First Aid certificate and valid driver's licence
Empathy, patience and a genuine passion for supporting individuals with disability
