About the role
An exciting opportunity to start your career with the South Australia Medical Imaging (SAMI) team as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist!
As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will contribute to the provision of a high-quality public imaging and theranostic service for the diagnosis and clinical management of patients.
You will perform a wide range of examinations across a range of Nuclear Medicine specialties, in a supportive and dynamic environment, building your professional independence.
Positions are available at the following SAMI sites:
- Royal Adelaide Hospital,
- The Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Lyell McEwin Hospital, Women's and Children's Hospital,
- Flinders Medical Centre,

Essential Requirements:
- Current National Police Clearance (NPC)
- Working With Children Check (DHS)
- Immunisation screening as indicated in the role description. SA Health Services are required to implement the Addressing vaccine preventable disease: Occupational assessment, screening and vaccination policy in the workplace.

Educational/Vocational Qualifications:
- Appropriate Degree in Medical Radiation and registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner Nuclear Medicine Technologist with the Medical Radiation Practice Board of Australia (MRPB).
- Must be licensed or eligible to apply for:
- Licence to use or handling of radioactive material pursuant to Section 23 of the Radiation Protection and Control Act, SA 2021
- Licence to operate radiation apparatus pursuant to Section 24 of the Radiation Protection and Control Act, SA 2021 (Operation of computed tomography apparatus for the purpose of Nuclear Medicine)
