Avina – Carrying Forward a Tradition of Community Care
At Avina, our mission is simple: empower people of all ages and backgrounds to live life on their own terms. Though our name may be new, our commitment runs deep — built on decades of trusted care, driven by values that put people first.
Step into a role where your impact is felt every day, working within the Lismore & surrounding areas communities. This is your chance to make a meaningful impact, working flexibly within people’s homes and communities, while supported by a culture that values your expertise and wellbeing.
Your Role: Empower, Assess, and Collaborate
As an Occupational Therapist with Avina, you will:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and craft tailored intervention plans that align with individual client goals and NDIS expectations
- Support people with disabilities to build skills and confidence, helping them thrive within their own homes and communities
- Deliver therapy directly in the environments that matter most to your clients — their homes, local community spaces, and more
- Work hand-in-hand with families, carers, and other professionals to create seamless, holistic support networks
- Manage your own caseload autonomously while having access to clinical supervision and a collaborative team culture
- Travel within the Lismore area using your own vehicle or take advantage of our pool car system for easier access
Work Where You’re Valued - Here’s Why You’ll Love Avina
We believe the best client outcomes come from genuinely supporting our people. Here’s what sets Avina apart:
- Flexible scheduling options - full or part-time, with no fixed hours demanding your day
- An attractive leave system allowing you to opt-in for an extra day off every month (that’s 12 extra days annually!)
- Balanced billable targets (65%) paired with protected time for admin and professional development
- A culture that trusts your expertise, providing clinical supervision and peer support whenever you need it
- Wellbeing benefits including access to Fitness Passport, confidential Employee Assistance Program, and a positive, uplifting workplace atmosphere
You’re a Great Fit If You:
- Have a degree in Occupational Therapy and current registration with AHPRA
- Bring experience in community-based therapy, supporting people with disabilities or complex needs
- Practice with empathy, flexibility, and an evidence-based approach
- Hold a current driver’s licence and vehicle access for travel within your community
- Have an active WWCC, NDIS Worker Screening Check, and unrestricted Australian working rights
