ConsultANZ is looking for a Project Engineer with a strong civil contracting background to join a well-regarded contractor in their Pre-Contracts Team. This is a rare opportunity to work on the front end of projects—from early planning and approvals through to tendering—before handover to the delivery team. You'll play a critical role in shaping how infrastructure projects are scoped, designed, priced, and scheduled before they hit the ground, contributing to the success of a diverse pipeline of civil works.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage early-stage project development as part of the Pre-Contracts Team
• Coordinate with designers and manage design documentation
• Oversee environmental approvals and project planning requirements
• Assist with pricing and tendering for new projects
• Conduct constructability reviews and planning
• Develop programmes using MS Project
• Contribute to cost estimating using Bluebeam and related tools

About You

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar civil engineering role
• Proven ability to understand how to build a project and make construction-based assumptions
• Strong skills in design management, planning, and cost estimation
• Familiar with tools like MS Project and Bluebeam
• Excellent communication and coordination skills
• Tertiary qualification in Civil Engineering or a related discipline

Benefits:

• Salary: $110K–$130K base + super, depending on experience
