Maintenance Electrician – Day or Rotating Shift

About the Role
We’re seeking a trade-qualified Maintenance Electrician to join a busy manufacturing food facility in Brisbane. This hands-on role offers the option of a stable day shift or rotating day/afternoon shifts, working alongside a supportive team of 14 trades per shift (4 fitters & 3 electricians). You'll be critical in maintaining, fault-finding, and improving high-speed production lines in a fast-paced food manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct preventative and breakdown maintenance across automated machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair conveyors, packing lines, printers, UHT plants, and more.
• Fault-find using Allen-Bradley PLCs and SCADA systems.
• Use SAP or MEX for CMMS and shift reporting.
• Work collaboratively with fitters and production operators.
• Contribute to RCA, 5 WHYs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Participate in shutdowns and system upgrades.
• Maintain compliance with electrical and food safety standards.

Skills & Experience

• QLD Electrical License – essential.
• Strong experience in industrial or FMCG environments preferred.
• Skilled in electrical schematics, PLC fault-finding, VSDs, motor controls & automation.
• CMMS experience (SAP or MEX preferred).
• Positive, proactive, and team-focused attitude.
• Forklift license – desirable but not required.

• Day Shift Package: Approx. $117,633.85 per year
• Rotating Shift Package (with 15% penalties): Approx. $125,604.13 per year
• 12 RDOs per year – can be banked
• $160/month retention bonus for perfect attendance

• $300/month on-call allowance (paid even if not called out)
