The Opportunity

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Financial Controller to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the company’s financial operations, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with regulatory standards, and strategic financial planning. You will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support informed decision-making and drive business performance. Your Role

Financial Reporting:

Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.

Ensure compliance with accounting standards (e.g., IFRS, GAAP).

Oversee the preparation of internal and external financial reports.

Budgeting & Forecasting:

Develop annual budgets and long-term financial forecasts.

Monitor performance against budgets and analyze variances.

Accounting Operations:

Supervise day-to-day accounting functions (AP/AR, payroll, reconciliations).

Ensure timely and accurate closing of the books.

Internal Controls & Compliance:

Implement and monitor effective internal controls.

Ensure compliance with tax regulations, corporate policies, and relevant laws.

Audit & Risk Management:

Liaise with external auditors during audits.

Identify financial and operational risks and recommend mitigation strategies.

Team Management:

Lead and mentor accounting and finance staff.

Evaluate team performance and identify training needs.

Strategic Support:

Provide financial insights and recommendations to senior management.

Support strategic planning and business growth initiatives.

This role will report to our Bowen Hills Office only 4 days a week.

Who We're Looking For

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CMA preferred).

Proven experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Manager, or similar role.

Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax laws, and financial regulations.

Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, QuickBooks, Xero) and Excel.

Excellent leadership, analytical, and communication skills.

Attention to detail and accuracy.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Strategic thinker with strong problem-solving skills.
