About the role

Direct Staff Nursing Agency seeks experienced Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, Personal Care Workers (PCA), Food Safety Assistants (FSA) and CHEF to join our team in Melbourne, VIC. We have shifts available in various aged care facilities across the Mornington Peninsula, as well as in the south-eastern, western, and northern suburbs of Melbourne. You will play a vital role in providing high-quality, compassionate care to our elderly residents. This flexible, casual position offers the opportunity to work in a supportive environment and make a meaningful difference in the lives of your patients.

What you'll be doing

Assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the nursing care of aged care residents

Administering medication and monitoring residents' health and well-being

Collaborating with the multidisciplinary care team to deliver holistic, resident-centred care

Documenting resident care and maintaining accurate and up-to-date records

Providing emotional support and companionship to residents and their families

Ensuring a safe and hygienic environment for residents

What we're looking for

Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) - applicable only for nurses

Minimum 6 Months' experience in aged care facilities (Australia)

Strong clinical skills and knowledge of aged care best practices

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with residents, families and the care team

Compassionate, patient-centred approach to care delivery

Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team

Proficient in using electronic medical records and technology in a clinical setting
