About the role:

Sandy Bay Massage is seeking an enthusiastic, self-motivated, personable Remedial Massage Therapist to join our amazing team at Hobart’s Home of Remedial Massage. An opportunity now presents for at minimum a Diploma qualified therapist to join our team. We welcome applications from both new graduates and experienced therapists.

We are looking for individuals with whom we can develop a long-term professional relationship and become part of our growing team for 3-5 days a week.

We offer a professional workspace in an airconditioned clinic with reception 6 times a week, comfortable power-lift treatment tables, HICAPS/EFTPOS facilities and online booking system Power Diary / Zanda.

The successful applicant will be supported by our reception team, while also getting clinical support from our Clinical Team Leader and fellow massage therapists.

Skills and experience

· You will have excellent manual skills, strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology and are confident in assessing clients' specific issues. You will adapt your style and techniques to develop personalized treatments for the most effective outcome.

· You can work autonomously with a variety of clients using your great people skills and strong communication skills to build rapport and develop real connections.

· You're always looking to develop your clinical knowledge and skills and are eager to learn and develop new and exciting challenges.

· The role also requires affinity for customer service as you will handle basic reception duties such as processing payments and health fund rebates, and rebooking / following up your clients. Training will be provided.

As a successful applicant you must have:

A Diploma of Remedial Massage, Advanced Diploma of Myotherapy or equivalent

Membership with a massage association

Covered by all private health funds

A current first aid certificate

Your own ABN and Public & Professional indemnity insurance

Working with Vulnerable People check or equivalent

· Additional massage modalities in Dry needling, Pregnancy and Post-natal massage, Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Cupping, Hot Stone are welcome.
