About the Role:

Working across a rotating roster, you’ll be a key part of daily operations at the Bamaga Tavern, stepping up as the go-to leader in the Venue Manager’s absence. You’ll manage a tight-knit team, maintain high standards of service and compliance, and help ensure the Tavern remains a safe and welcoming place for locals and visitors alike.

Key Responsibilities:

Oversee service in the Front Bar, Bistro and Bottle Shop

Lead and support a pool of up to 10 staff

Supervise evening service, guest engagement and incident response

Manage stock levels, end-of-day reconciliations, and cash handling

Contribute to staff training, rostering and service delivery

Uphold safety, hygiene and liquor licensing standards

Support the planning of community events and promotions

What You’ll Need:

Minimum 2 years experience in a similar hospitality leadership role

RSA (QLD); RMLV preferred

High attention to detail and great communication skills

Confident IT and POS system skills (SwiftPOS experience a bonus)

Positive, adaptable and calm under pressure
