Construction Labourer

Job Location: NSW Wide (Base Location Bulahdelah, NSW)

Employment Type: Casual to start ASAP with the potential for Full Time.

Hours per week: 16- 38 Hours per week

Position Classification: Building and Construction General On-site Award- Level 1 (CW/ECW 1)

Remuneration Wages: $35.00- 37.00 per hour.

Additional: All costs associated with Accommodation and food are paid for during away periods.

Guardrail Systems is an established construction company with over 40 years in combined experience. We specialise in civil construction, mines, and private Industries. The primary focus of this company is the installation of Guardrail and Wire Rope safety barriers.

Jobsite Locations:

Our jobsites vary across New South Wales. The right applicant must be willing to travel and be away from home during work periods.

Accommodation, transport and food is supplied for away periods – the accommodation is usually in an Airbnb/ Motels.

Role Requirements:

Labourers are expected to perform a variety of tasks. You must be a reliable, punctual, responsible, and most importantly a productive and positive team member. The role will suit someone who can work autonomously as well as in a team. Someone who is willing to take direction and get the job done in a productive and safe manner. You must enjoy working outdoors and be committed to customer satisfaction and quality.

We welcome applications from people with guardrail experience or other experience in the construction industry. If you're inexperienced - that's ok too, as we'll provide training for the successful applicants.

This position would suit a school leaver or someone wanting to gain experience in construction industry.

Essential

Driver’s License and ability to drive a manual car. This role does involve travel, you will be expected to drive at times long distances and to share driving.

White Card / Construction Induction Card

Willingness to undertake employment medical testing including drug and alcohol testing.

Willingness to undertake security checks.

Willingness to complete Online and On-Site Inductions.

Comply will all WHS requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

-Work cooperatively within a team to produce daily results in line with the project targets

-Maintain inventory of all tools and equipment used on the job daily.

-Assist in lifting of materials.

-Responsible for using battery tools and doing up bolts.

-Assist others to set out materials to allow correct installation.

-Meet Austroads quality assurance guidelines and Guardrail Systems standards.

-Attend all meetings & training as required.
