About the business
Free Agency is an industry leading Casual Relief Teaching Agency. We are a well established and highly reputable company, most importantly WE LOVE WHAT WE DO!
We work in Primary, Secondary, Early Childhood and SEN.
Free Agency provides schools in Victoria with casual teaching staff and permanent placement opportunities.
We vet and process applications to ensure we are placing the best teacher in front of the students across the primary and secondary sectors.
About the role - Anticipated start date as soon as possible
The Customer Service/Allocations component will form the majority of this role and will involve liaising with Principals and Daily Organisers at schools to place the appropriate teacher into the position. When placing staff in schools, we need to ensure that the best person is suited to the role. At times this will challenge your thinking as we strive for excellent service to clients. The role is predominantly completed in our Bayside Office (Cheltenham)
Human Resources will form the lesser requirement of this role and will predominantly involve talent acquisition. Assisting in interviewing, on boarding, and overall recruitment of new teachers to work within our network of schools. This is an area to develop into but will be something to focus after learning the allocations role.
The learning of placing educators and learning our network of schools will be the main focus upon starting with the company. Learning the business from the ground up. You will find you even get to try other roles within the company as we all work together to assist each other. There is also room for growth within our team and opportunities continue to present as we grow and develop here, regionally and internationally.
Our day starts early.... 6 am. This involves the placement of teachers for the day. It provides high energy and collaborative environment. Once school starts at 9 am, we then have flexibility throughout the day.
Our hours of operation are 6.30am to 6pm - please be aware this role will involve some early starts and some 6pm finishes depending on roster cycle AND the occasional 2 hour shift on a Sunday to support operations is also required. This is really important to note when applying as it's key in being successful in the application.
Full Time - 52 weeks a year - 5 weeks paid holidays a year. (holidays to be taken generally during school holiday periods)
