About the role

Autofirst Service and Repairs' is seeking an experienced Automotive Electrician to join our team in Mount Isa, Queensland. This full-time role is responsible for diagnosing and repairing electrical and electronic issues across a wide range of makes and models of vehicles.

What you'll be doing

Diagnose and repair a variety of complex electrical and electronic vehicle systems, including lighting, starting, charging, and accessory systems

Perform maintenance and repair work on vehicle batteries, alternators, and starter motors

Install and test new electrical components and wiring in vehicles

Interpret wiring diagrams and schematics to identify and resolve issues

Maintain detailed records of all work performed and parts used

Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients

What we're looking for

Formal qualifications in Automotive Electrical or a related field

More than 4 years experience as an Automotive Electrician, preferably in a workshop environment

Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve complex electrical issues

Excellent working knowledge of vehicle electrical and electronic systems

Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and schematics

Strong attention to detail and adherence to safety procedures

Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information effectively
