MEGT has a fantastic opportunity with one of our clients offering a Cert III Business qualification and becoming a valued member of their team, located in the Children's Hospital Westmead, Westmead NSW!
This is an Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Identified role. About the company:
Our client is a Non for profit Charity that brings light, laughter and unique experiences to children located within the Children's Hospital Westmead! Our Host Employer is seeking a Business Trainee to assist with contributing to the daily activities with patients and the administrative duties to organize specific events. You will deliver exceptional customer service and have the empathy and organizational skills needed to join this wonderful team - supporting a very worthy cause within the community! Close to public transport and cafes, you will be joining a supportive team environment, that encourages learning on the job and the potential for a long term career!
About the role:
This traineeship offers a unique opportunity to develop practical skills and gain hands on experience:
- Deliver exceptional customer service, via face to face, phone and email communication
- Enter details into a Database, Digital and Manual Filing, Data Entry, Help Organize events
- Prepare and maintain allocated rooms for specific children's activities and events
- Help to create a positive environment for volunteers, patients and families
- Provide on-the ground support at the events, assist with catering, decorating and engage with a range of patients, families, volunteers and medical staff
- Ensure work space is kept clean and tidy, Stationary items are Ordered/restocked and Adhere to WHS policy
What we're looking for:
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, along with a positive attitude, and organizational skills
- Takes initiative, eager and willing to learn, attention to detail
- Able to follow instructions, demonstrated customer service experience, attention to details
- Familiar with MS Word, MS Excel/Google Sheets (MUST), email suites and basic IT skills
- Interest and feel comfortable working in the Health Sector in a Hospital environment
- Identify as Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander and MUST be able to obtain a Clear Police Check and WWCC
