🌿Step Outside the Ordinary 🌿
Thriving Through Nature is more than a workplace—it’s a movement redefining what occupational therapy can look like. As the only metro-based nature OT service in Perth, Western Australia, we offer something no one else does: real, meaningful connection to self, others, and the natural environment.
We support neurodivergent children and young people (ages 4–15) through evidence-informed, neuroaffirming, outdoor therapy that taps into the beauty of nature to regulate the nervous system, build trust, and foster deep emotional and social wellbeing.
🍃About Us
At Thriving Through Nature, we’re not just offering a service—we’re reimagining what occupational therapy can be. As a nature-based OT practice, we deliver individual and group therapy in beautiful, outdoor settings where children feel free to move, play, and just be.
Nature isn’t just our backdrop—it’s our co-therapist. It regulates, inspires curiosity, builds connection, and offers a calming, sensory-rich environment where relationships can truly flourish. We’ve seen firsthand the transformative difference in children when therapy takes place outside the traditional clinic walls—there’s a depth of engagement and emotional safety that simply can’t be replicated in a standard office setting.
Our neuroaffirming approach celebrates each child’s uniqueness, strengths, and ways of experiencing the world. We pride ourselves on creating spaces where children feel seen, supported, and empowered.
Our therapists are deeply passionate about both nature and neurodiversity. Like many of the families we support, we also desired a more connected and balanced way of working—and found it in the outdoors. Working in nature not only supports our clients’ regulation and wellbeing, but ours too. It’s a shift that’s brought joy, renewal, and a sense of purpose back into our own professional lives.
Now two years in, we’ve grown a thriving community with a long waitlist of families seeking our support. The demand is clear—and we need likeminded therapists to join us so more children can access the support they need.
We’re also proud to be partnering with Nature Play WA, co-delivering their Nature Play in the Park program in Term 3, 2025. This collaboration is an exciting opportunity to extend our impact.
