About the Role
Are you a passionate Physiotherapist looking to make a real difference in the lives of others? At Goodwin, we are seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Physiotherapist to join our team and enhance the quality of life for residents and clients across various settings, including residential aged care, wellness centers, and home visits. If you are committed to best practice, innovation, and continuous improvement in the delivery of physiotherapy services, we want to hear from you!
Key Responsibilities:
Provide evidence-based physiotherapy programs and services to enhance independence and quality of life for residents and clients.
Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify functional capacity, strengths, and lifestyle goals, developing holistic, individualised therapy plans in partnership with residents, clients, their families, and the Goodwin team.
Deliver programs that emphasise capacity building, restorative outcomes, and healthy aging.
Provide individual therapy services to maintain functional capacity, prevent deterioration, and promote re-engagement with community activities.
Review and evaluate therapy plans regularly to ensure that goals are met, and quality of life is enhanced.
Educate residents, clients, their families, and the Goodwin team on preventative health strategies, including falls prevention and healthy lifestyle promotion.
Ensure compliance with professional standards, guidelines, and legislative requirements.
Maintain professional knowledge and meet the necessary requirements for providing services funded through private, state, and national government sources.
Essential Qualifications:
Current registration as a Physiotherapist with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Current unrestricted driver’s license.
Experience in aged care or the healthcare industry.
Willingness to register with Medicare Australia, DVA, and HiCAPS.
Key Skills and Attributes:
Proven excellence in physiotherapy assessment and delivery of restorative interventions.
Well-developed organizational, negotiation, facilitation, and communication skills.
Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office and client management software.
High ethical standards, confidentiality, and professionalism.
A team player with the ability to work independently and effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
