Our Rehabilitation Ward is a 36-bed facility providing in-patient rehabilitation to orthopaedic patients following elective surgery (including knees, hips, and spine). The ward also delivers acute pain management and reconditioning rehabilitation programs.

An opportunity currently exists for a highly motivated and experienced Assistant in Nursing (AIN) to join our team on a casual basis. There is a particular need for overnight availability, so only applicants who can work night shifts should apply. Day shifts may also be offered.

Career AIN applicants will be highly regarded; however, all application types will be considered.

Essential criteria:

Minimum 2 years continuous recent acute experience in a Tertiary hospital

Minimum 3 years continuous recent AIN experience in Aged Care

Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen

Must be available for night shifts and able to take rotating shifts

Strong passion for annual mandatory compliances and education competencies

Familiarisation with DETECT and Between the Flags NSW Policy

Proficient with Waterlow Pressure Risk Assessment and Falls Risk Assessment

Strong background knowledge with observation parameters and deteriorating patient risks

Team player, collaborative and a positive “Can do” attitude

Permanent Resident or Australian Citizen
