About the Role
Applications for the 12 months role of Unaccredited Urology Registrar(s) are now open.
The responsibilities of the Unaccredited Urology Registrar include; leadership of resident teams, participating in ward, outpatient and surgical activities, providing close support to surgeons on elective and on-call service and diagnostic services, teaching, and research and quality improvement activities. The Urology Unaccredited Registrar, with the support and supervision of the senior consultant staff, will be responsible for ensuring the clinically safe and efficient running of the day to day activities of the unit. The applicant will also need to perform on call duties as directed by the Unit.
Classifications for this position will range from HM25 - HM30 ($129,048.40 - $177,622.12 pro rata per annum) + salary sacrifice and excluding super
What you will bring
- Demonstrated experience applying medical knowledge towards sound clinical diagnosis, investigation and treatment of patients
- Demonstrated effective communication with patients, relatives, staff and colleagues
- Classification of PGY4 or greater
- Full working rights in Australia
- Hold current AHPRA registration & hold an MBBS or equivalent
- Hold a current, or willing to undergo a satisfactory National Police Check and if required a NDIS Check at your own expense.
- Have a commitment to deliver the best in patient care and safety
- Previous work in a urology unit

The Urology unit comprises a dynamic multidisciplinary team who strive for clinical excellence through research driven healthcare to deliver best clinical outcomes for patients. The Urology unit comprises a dynamic multidisciplinary team who strive for clinical excellence through research-driven healthcare to deliver best clinical outcomes for patients. The unit operates across St Vincent's Fitzroy and St Vincent's on the Park, offering comprehensive urological care. It is at the forefront of surgical innovation, with a strong focus on robotic surgery and complex renal stone management.
