Your Impact
As an Advocacy Officer, you will:
- Represent Blue Card Services in tribunal hearings and legal proceedings, advocating for the safety and wellbeing of children.
- Assess and prepare evidence, liaise with legal representatives, and coordinate expert witnesses.
- Case manage review files before the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT).
- Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the legal and child protection sectors.
- Provide mentorship to junior legal and paralegal officers.
- Contribute to the development of policy, governance, and fraud control initiatives.

What we're looking for
- Strong legal acumen and experience in advocacy or tribunal representation.
- Excellent analytical and case management skills.
- A commitment to child safety and ethical decision-making.
- Ability to interpret and apply legislation, particularly the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000.
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
