Your Impact

As an Advocacy Officer, you will:

• Represent Blue Card Services in tribunal hearings and legal proceedings, advocating for the safety and wellbeing of children.
• Assess and prepare evidence, liaise with legal representatives, and coordinate expert witnesses.
• Case manage review files before the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT).
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders across the legal and child protection sectors.
• Provide mentorship to junior legal and paralegal officers.
• Contribute to the development of policy, governance, and fraud control initiatives.

What we're looking for

• Strong legal acumen and experience in advocacy or tribunal representation.
• Excellent analytical and case management skills.
• A commitment to child safety and ethical decision-making.
• Ability to interpret and apply legislation, particularly the Working with Children (Risk Management and Screening) Act 2000.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
