Choices and Rights is seeking passionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers to join our team in Nerang. In this casual role, you’ll support individuals living with disabilities—helping them live independently, safely, and meaningfully within the community.

We are currently looking for support workers to join a small, consistent team caring for a 16-year-old boy with Sanfilippo Syndrome—a rare degenerative condition that primarily affects the central nervous system.

This young person requires 1:1 close supervision to support his participation in daily activities and ensure his safety. He presents with:

Severe intellectual disability

Delays in mobility (fine and gross motor skills)

Non-verbal communication

Full support needs for personal care

Support for social and emotional development

What We’re Looking For

Certificate III or IV in Disability Support (or willing to obtain)

Experience supporting individuals with high and complex needs

Confident in providing personal care and managing complex needs

Calm, dependable, and empathetic

Able to work independently and communicate effectively with families and team members

Must have:

NDIS Worker Screening Clearance

Working with Children Blue Card

Current First Aid & CPR certification

Full Driver’s License and reliable vehicle (essential for transport support)
