Concordia Lutheran College is a K-12 co-educational day and boarding school located in Toowoomba. It has a long and proud history and continues to nurture and empower young people to shape and enrich our world through a life of faith and service.

The College is seeking to appoint a Permanent Qualified Chef to deliver high-quality food services for students and cater for College functions and events as needed. Based at the Stephen Street Campus, this role is full-time (38 hours per week) for a fixed-term period from July to December 2025. The position operates Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend work for events.

To be successful in this role, you must have:

Trade qualifications in Commercial Cookery (minimum of Cert 3) or equivalent.

Food Safety Supervisor Certificate

Demonstrated knowledge of Food Safety requirements

A current Working with Children Blue Card (or ability to obtain).

A current driver’s license.

The ideal candidate will have:

Experience preparing and cooking a wide variety of high quality, nutritious and well-presented meals in line with food service guidelines.

Experience in preparing and baking pastries/sweets is highly desirable.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to liaise with all members of the community.

Demonstrated attention to detail with the ability to show initiative and a strong sense of professionalism.

Flexible and responsive to the needs of the College including the flexibility and availability to work extra or varied hours as negotiated.
