We’re on the lookout for a reliable and customer-focused Shop Assistant to join a busy retail team based in Laverton North. This is a hands-on role where you’ll play a key part in delivering excellent service, maintaining high standards of hygiene, and supporting smooth day-to-day operations.

This is an ongoing opportunity on a rotating roster, with shifts available Monday to Saturday. You’ll work a minimum of 2–3 shifts per week, with each shift being a minimum of 4 hours. Additional hours may be required based on business needs, so full-time working rights in Australia are essential.

About the Role:

• Serve customers in a friendly, professional, and timely manner
• Handle enquiries and assist with basic complaints
• Maintain stock rotation, correct labelling, and pricing
• Keep the shop clean, safe, and well-organised throughout the day
• Support food safety practices, including temperature checks and clean-downs
• Complete basic admin tasks such as end-of-day paperwork and banking
• Promote specials and ensure shelves are well stocked

What We’re Looking For:

• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Experience in retail, preferably from supermarket-style retail
• Good money-handling and basic maths ability
• Ability to make quick decisions and show initiative
• Reliable, proactive, and a strong team player
• Full-time working rights in Australia
