The role of the NDIS Facilitator is the coordination of a range of NDIS activities to provide capacity building supports to participants, promoting choice and control in assisting them to achieve their goals.
This includes planning and tracking progress across key deliverables in service delivery, finance and risk management and stakeholder engagement using a person-centric model.
Essential:
Certificate III in Disability or equivalent and/or 3 years experience in Disability Support, Community Services, Employment Services or other relevant field.
Experience in the case management of people with a disability and/or experience working with people with a disability in other relevant contexts.
Ability to facilitate an innovative range of activities that empower participants to achieve their goals.
High level of interpersonal skills including the ability to build relationships of trust, manage stakeholder relationships and work in a team.
Demonstrated ability to work with participants with unpredictable situations and behaviours.
Ability to recognise, respond to and prevent incidents through the adoption of Risk Management strategies.
Demonstrated ability to provide support with compassion, empathy, and respect to participants alongside their families and other supports.
Strong computer literacy and the ability to document support activities, research providers and prepare reports.
High level of skill in developing, implementing, and maintaining systems and processes to ensure the continuous enhancement of services is provided.
Desirable:
Experience working in the NDIS sector.
Understanding of the objectives and principles of the NDIS and the underlying legislative framework.
Mandatory Qualifications and Licenses:
Maintain a valid Driver’s License
Maintain satisfactory Blue and NDIS Worker screening
Hold or ability to obtain a police check
Hold or ability to obtain a First Aid Certificate
Benefits:
A company vehicle.
We operate under a Certified Agreement as Links Community Services (AG2014/6932)
Super is paid on leave loading.
An additional 2 days personal/year (12 total).
Certified Agreement leave between Xmas and New Year (3 days).
Salary Sacrifice benefits - Everyday living expenses $470/fn with a car (up to $15,900), plus $110/fn (up to $2,650) per annum. Plus remote allowances - You may also be eligible for mortgage interest, energy use and travel allowances.
