We're on the hunt for an Allied Health Assistant friend to join our team! We work with children with developmental delay and disability who are primarily aged 0-7 years old. We provide extensive mentoring and training to help our team provide the best evidence based care to our kiddos. Our AHA's work closely with our therapist team. We really value providing opportunities for growth and development - and it's also just nice to know the people you work with!

This role would be perfect for an Occupational Therapy Student hoping to get experience working in the space, or someone with a Therapy Assistant qualification through TAFE.

We are on a mission to raise the bar of Paediatric Therapy in Canberra. With the changes coming to the NDIS and the demand for high quality OT only increasing, we are making changes to the way we implement therapy to ensure that all the children we see are getting high quality care that leads to measurable results.

We are searching for a passionate Occupational Therapy Assistant (OTA) who shares our excitement for clinically reasoned and holistic patient care to take on a diverse case load of children with disability and developmental delay.

Full training and support for the role will be provided, as well as ongoing mentoring and support.

🎯 About the Role

You’ll work closely with our existing team of Physiotherapists, Allied Health Assistants and our lovely OT, Lara.

You will be:

Delivering therapy intervention under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist

Creating resources such as home programs and visual schedules to support children to develop independence.

Collaborating with our OT to develop social and play therapy groups for children with developmental delay and overseeing its success to support more children to develop social and play skills

Attending regular team training and regular 1:1 mentoring to develop your skillset. We are very passionate about supporting individuals to become great therapists who are passionate about their work.
