Working as part of the refining team, the main purpose of this role is completing the full spectrum of precious metal manufacturing, including assaying, refining and mint services.
You will be responsible for:
Preparation and planning of processes for the refining of precious metals by chemical and physical separation.
Monitor and optimise the Acidless Separation (ALS) Refining unit and chlorination processes to ensure maximum efficient output.
Review and implement systems and workflows to improve products produced for internal and external stakeholders.
Actively participate in risk assessment procedures and provide feedback on all practices to management.
Monitor the chemical treatment plant and gas scrubbing unit to ensure efficient treatment of waste solution and off gasses produced from refining processes and diagnose issues as they arise.
Conduct process sampling to ensure quality of products are in line with the requirements.
Ensure production site complies with the regulations for safe storage and handling of hazardous materials.
The ideal candidate is passionate, self-motivated, and able to adapt quickly in a world class business.
About You:
Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Applied Chemistry, or related field.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Self-motivated and proactive approach.
Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail and numeracy skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team and a strong work ethic.
