Job description:
Fixed Term part-time, January 2026 to February 2027
Variable EFT (0.84EFT, 64 hours per fortnight) available for both Ballarat and Horsham Campus
YS12-YS8 | $41.36 to $52.20 per hour
The aims of the program are to:
- provide support and guidance to the early entry career Registered Midwife
- develop self-confidence, critical thinking, decision making, clinical skills and clinical competence as part of the multifaceted role of the Registered Midwife
- provide realistic learning experiences to consolidate professional and personal development per the standards of practice, code of conduct and national accreditation standards in caring for women throughout their pregnancy, birth, postnatal period and infants requiring special care.
- combine a practical and theoretical program to enable the early entry career RM grounding in the nursing/midwifery profession
Grampians Health is a major teaching and research health organisation, which serves the whole of Western Victoria/Grampians region, from Bacchus Marsh to the South Australian border. The service actively supports clinical education and provides a range of learning opportunities, postgraduate programs (affiliated with various universities) in addition to the Transition to Practice programs.

- Cover Letter (please mention if you are applying for Ballarat or Horsham) or Statement of Career Intent as per PMCV requirements
- CV including two (2) professional referees: NB: (please refer to PMCV guidelines)
- Certified copies of your Academic transcript including mid-year results of 4th year
- Certified copies of ALL Clinical Appraisals interim and final SUMMARIES (including 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th year of study) (please note-file must be less than 10MB when uploading)

This position is paid in accordance with the Nurses and Midwives (Victorian Public Sector) (Single Interest Employers) Enterprise Agreement 2024 - 2028. The classification is Registered Midwife (YS12 - YS8) which ranges from $41.36 - $52.20 per hour.
