About the role

Join our team in this critical role as a Casual Delivery Driver / Customer Service Representative. Flexibility is essential to cover our increasing span of hours. Early morning or night runs, as well as weekend shifts will be part of your rotating roster. You will work in a variety of vehicle types/runs, including out of town runs in a truck and multi-drop runs in town in a van. The Delivery Driver/Customer Service Representative will be the first point of contact for clients and stakeholders and responsible for positively shaping the interaction that clients have with the company. This is a very physically demanding role, so a high level of fitness is essential. This role is an exciting opportunity to gain exposure to social enterprise, and be part of a dynamic and rewarding workplace.

Key responsibilities include:

Exceptional level of customer service

Manage a busy, multiple drop delivery schedule

Clearly interpret and articulate customer needs

Communicate and collaborate with production and dispatch teams

Loading and unloading of stock

Maintain vehicle in a clean and presentable state at all times

Ensure driving style is at all times law-abiding and professional

Other duties as required

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

A passion for the Vanguard Laundry mission

Current MR license

Minimum 2 years experience in a similar role

A high level of fitness due to the manual handling nature of the role

High level of personal grooming/presentation

Ability to navigate designated area and a basic understanding of routine truck maintenance procedures

Highly motivated with a strong work ethic

A team player approach

Flexibility to work overtime when required

Strong customer service skills with a 'can do' attitude
