VEHiQA (www.vehiqa.com.au) is a leading supplier and manufacturer of Vehicle-mounted Emergency Warning products to Public Safety in Australia. The company is based in a new purpose-built facility and is currently expanding its Australian Operations.

The Role

The Automotive Detailer / Decommissioner is responsible for the removal of electronic modules and wiring for reuse from a range of vehicles, and removal of decals, all within the time allocated. The role is key to ensuring the quality and timeliness of the services the company provides to its clients, which are generally large Government and Corporate organizations, not private individuals.

Required Skills

The ideal candidate will have demonstrated expertise in the following:

• Familiarity with a range of small vehicle models/types
• Effective vehicle detailing skills using power cleaning/polishing equipment
• Use of power and manual hand tools
• Familiarity with operating in a safety-focused environment

Desirable Attributes

• Experience in the removal and reinstallation of trim and equipment from vehicles
• Knowledge of automotive wiring and components
• Interest in vehicle maintenance/modification

This full time permanent position offers a 9 day fortnight,uniform, tools and product training are all provided.

The decomissioning division is also the enrty point for those staff who would like to start an apprenticeship and obtain a Trade Certificate in Automotive Electrical Technology.
