• Sydney - Surry Hills, or Melbourne - Richmond. WFH Hybrid

Our client, an independent Government entity focused on disabilities is seeking Actuaries.

About the client

Their role is to support a better life for hundreds of thousands of Australians with a significant and permanent disability and their families and carers.

About the role - Actuary

The position will provide operational and administrative support that is informed and directed by sound knowledge in areas and may undertake some research and analysis activities.

Duties - Actuary

• Extracting, cleansing and preparing of data from multiple sources, in particular the data warehouse
• Efficiently using relevant software including Microsoft Office and SAS
• Updating and replication of regular performance monitoring

Skills / Experience

• Must possess relevant academic qualifications, including tertiary qualifications in Actuarial Studies, Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science or other relevant equivalent qualifications
• Effective communication skills (both written and verbal) and ability to use judgement and make sound decisions quickly
• Detail-oriented, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills; also, knowledge of statistical techniques and methods
