The Salary range is currently $40.46 to $48.73 per hour. Hourly rate based on experience.

What You’ll Do

Bundaberg Home Care is a respected team of healthcare professionals dedicated to empowering clients to maintain their independence and safety within the comfort of their own homes. We are currently seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team on a full-time or part-time basis.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, in-home clinical care to elderly clients, supporting their overall health and well-being. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work autonomously within the community, providing essential healthcare services across Bundaberg and the surrounding regions, including Gin Gin, Childers, Woodgate, and Mount Perry.

This position involves regular travel between clients' homes, which is a key part of the role. A valid driver’s license and a fully insured, comprehensively covered vehicle are required. You will be reimbursed for using your own vehicle, with an allowance of $0.96 per kilometer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assessment and Care Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments to develop and regularly review individualized care plans, ensuring they are evidence-based and tailored to each person's needs.
  • Care Delivery: Implement care strategies that enhance the quality of life for residents/clients, while maintaining compliance with accreditation standards.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with a multidisciplinary team, including Personal Care Workers and Support Staff, to provide holistic care.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic health records in accordance with organizational and legislative requirements.
  • Leadership: Provide guidance and support to care teams, fostering a positive and collaborative environment.


About You

As a Registered Nurse in Home Care, you’ll be a vital source of clinical support for a dedicated team of care staff, offering expert guidance and advice as needed. Working autonomously in the field, you’ll ensure the delivery of high-quality, client-centred care while serving as a trusted support for the team.

Here’s what you’ll bring to the table:

  • Expert Clinical Support: Share your nursing expertise to guide and mentor care staff, conduct thorough health assessments, and ensure the highest standards of care.
  • Leadership in Action: Be the go-to person during shifts, providing problem-solving, advocacy, and team coordination to keep everything running smoothly.
  • Flexible and Reliable: Step in when needed most, adapting seamlessly to the team and providing stability during busy periods.
  • Enhanced Care Delivery: Refine care plans, maintain compliance, and lead in emergencies to ensure every client receives the best care.
  • Boosting Team Morale: Empower your team with encouragement, collaboration, and a positive attitude, fostering a culture of trust and teamwork.

Other Requirements:

  • A current National Police Check and CPR Certification, or willingness to obtain
  • A valid driver’s license.
  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
  • A genuine passion for caring for the elderly and vulnerable.
