Registered Nurse – Permanent Part-time -Fairfield Dermatology Clinic

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Registered or Enrolled Nurse to join our team at Fairfield Dermatology Clinic in a permanent part-time capacity (2 days per week), with the option to pick up additional shifts, based on clinic needs.

You will be part of a skilled team of Dermatologists and Nurses, delivering high-quality care in a fast-paced, supportive and collaborative environment. This is an excellent role for someone seeking stability, variety and a healthy work-life balance.

About Our Clinic:

Fairfield Dermatology Clinic has been serving the community for many years and is well regarded for its high standards of care and long-standing commitment to excellence in dermatology. Our experienced team of Dermatologists, Nurses and Administrative Staff work collaboratively in a professional, friendly and supportive environment, providing comprehensive dermatological care across a range of clinical and procedural services.

Key Responsibilities:

Assisting Dermatologists with clinical procedures (e.g., biopsies, excisions, mesotherapy).

Administering local anaesthetic (topical and subcutaneous injection) prior to procedures, in accordance with the Clinic protocol.

Managing / treating wounds and educating patients on wound care.

Taking medical photos using Fotofinder.

Educating patients on, and administering, Ultra Violet Light Therapy.

Triaging patient referrals in conjunction with the Dermatologists.

Utilising medical software to maintain accurate patient notes and records.

Liaising between patients and Dermatologists regarding test results, treatment plans, medication and other general enquiries.

Sterilising medical instruments.

Additional Responsibilities

You may also have the opportunity, to undergo further training, to:

conduct Photodynamic Therapy (PDT)

manage Biologics treatments,

assist Dermatologists with mesotherapy treatments, including PRP, Dutasteride and Bicalutamide injections.

(Nurses who are already trained in any of these areas will be assessed to ensure they comply with clinic policy)

Typical Shift Times:

8.00 AM - 4.30 PM

9:00 AM – 5:30 PM

11:00 AM – 7:30 PM

(applicants will be required to work a variety of the above shifts based on clinic requirements)

Essential Criteria:

You must have availability on a Tuesdays and have flexibility to work Friday’s where needed.

Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered or Enrolled Nurse.

Working with Children Certificate.

Excellent communication and organisational skills.

A team-oriented approach and strong work ethic.

Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic clinical setting.

Dermatology experience is highly regarded but not essential.
