About the role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Solid Plasterer to join our growing workforce. (Multiple positions are open for qualified candidates)
What you’ll do
Apply fire-rated renders and solid plaster systems to walls, ceilings, and structural elements, in accordance with passive fire safety codes and project specifications.
Install passive fire systems including fire-rated boards, barriers, and protective coatings as part of internal linings and external finishes.
Seal control joints, service penetrations, and wall junctions using fire-rated compounds to ensure compartmentation integrity.
Read and interpret architectural plans, fire engineering drawings, and technical specifications related to fire protection and construction compliance.
Carry out patching, repair, and rectification of fireproofing materials in line with inspection reports and regulatory audits.
Collaborate with fire engineers, builders, and project managers to ensure that all plastering and fireproofing work is completed to AS 1530 and NCC compliance standards.
Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and applying bonding agents or sealers before applying fire-rated plaster systems.
Use hand tools, spray equipment, and mechanical mixers to apply fire-resistant coatings and plasters on structural steel, walls, or ceilings.
Maintain plastering tools and equipment, ensure on-site safety procedures, and adhere to WHS protocols at all times.
Key Skills
Certificate III in Solid Plastering or equivalent trade qualification.
Minimum 1-2 years of experience in solid plastering, ideally within fire protection or commercial construction environments.
Working knowledge of passive fire protection methods, fire-rated systems, and relevant Australian Standards (e.g., AS 4072, AS 1530).
Ability to interpret technical construction and fire safety documentation.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety and regulatory compliance.
White Card (Construction Induction) required.
Current driver’s licence preferred.
