The Role

Northern Power Services has multiple positions now available to join our diverse team constructing the underground electrical and public lighting infrastructure and commercial Solar Farms for multiple large scale land development projects across the NT and interstate.

Your tasks will include but not limited to the installation of:

underground High Voltage and Low voltage power cables and conduit systems, service Pits and Pillars.
underground public lighting circuits, light columns, and switchboards

Solar Farm electrical installations.

In addition, successful applicants will be required to:

ensure that you follow safe work procedures at all times, use plant and equipment in a safe manner and wear safety protective clothing and apparel when required to do so;
ensure safety rules and safe working practices are complied with; and
carry out the duties of an unrestricted Electrical worker (A class Electrician)

About you

The successful applicant will bring competent skills and working knowledge of AS3000.

Applicants must hold a current NT Unrestricted Electrical workers registration and a current drivers licence and a demonstrated ability to work successfully in a team environment.

Holding a current High-risk licence- EWP over 11 meters and a MR or HR class drivers licence as well as experience hauling and terminating High voltage cables will be an advantage but not essential.

Experience on large scale Solar Farms an advantage but not essential.

Benefits for you

Successful applicants will be offered a $10,000 sign on bonus and an hourly rate starting at $50 - $55 p/h full penalties apply.

There are positions based in metropolitan Darwin and also for Interstate Solar Farms are being offered as full time positions.

A relocation allowance will be considered for persons whom relocation to Darwin is an option.
