About the role

Permanent full time opportunity to undertake leadership and management of the Queensland Forensic Mental Health Service (QFMHS) Policing and Mental Health Programs including the Police Communications Centre Mental Health Liaison Service (PCC-MHLS) and The Queensland Fixated Threat Assessment Centre (QFTAC).

About you

Our ideal candidate will be someone who can carry out the following key accountabilities in accordance with the Metro North Health's values:

  • Apply advanced-level expertise and understanding of complex, contemporary, clinical practice standards as relevant to the coordination of information, provision of mental health advice, and intervention in both crisis and complex evolving situations.
  • Provide specialist advice to the Operations Manager, QFMHS on matters relating to the provision of the Policing and Mental Health Programs.
  • Provide advanced-level clinical leadership and operational management in the development, monitoring and evaluation of the QFMHS Policing and Mental Health programs ensuring they meet objectives in terms of service delivery and staff members adhere to policies and procedures. This includes attending Police Headquarters on a regular basis for the purpose of monitoring, oversight, maintenance of stakeholders relationships and supervision.
