About the Role:

As a Yard Hand, your main responsibilities will include:

Operating a forklift to load, unload and move materials

Picking site orders and getting to know the materials

Re-organising a yard, assisting with planning, moving, stacking and unstacking, marking, stocktaking

Completing deliveries with a HR truck, learning load quantities, site procedures

Assisting with general yard duties and maintaining a clean, safe work environment

May lead to some site work

You’ll be working with timber formwork, scaffolding, aluminium formwork systems, steel props and frames etc. and other building products. You’ll need to be physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in a hands-on, fast paced role.

There’s room to grow into a primary truck driver role over time for the right candidate. If you're interested in obtaining your truck license, we’re open to supporting you through that process, to be discussed with the right applicant.

A current forklift license (or willingness to get one – to be discussed (with the right applicant)

A HR driver’s license

The ability to work independently and as part of a team

A positive attitude and willingness to learn

Basic people skills – you’ll be representing our company on job sites and with clients occasionally, so we need someone who is friendly, respectful, and reliable

A strong work ethic – we’re a small business, and everyone plays an important role
