Salary Range: $85,000 – $128,000 plus super
Type of School: Independent Islamic School in Western Sydney
Contract Type: Full-time contract for the remainder of the school year, with a view to ongoing

About the Position
This full-time position, commencing in Term 3, involves teaching Music to students in Years 7 to 10. The school currently offers keyboard, drums, and choir as part of its curriculum, and also welcomes instruments such as xylophone and triangle. The successful teacher will be responsible for delivering engaging, curriculum-aligned music lessons, fostering musical appreciation, and nurturing student creativity in line with the school’s vision and values. This is an initial contract role with the intention of extending beyond the current school year.
Skills and Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and curriculum-aligned music lessons for students in Years 7 to 10
Promote student welfare and uphold safeguarding policies and practices
Foster strong communication with students, families, and staff
Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the school’s music program and community initiatives
Inspire a love of music through creative teaching and inclusive classroom leadership
Requirements
Registration: Candidates must hold or be eligible to obtain NSW Teacher Accreditation (NESA)
Work Rights: Full working rights in Australia are essential for this role
Safeguarding: Applicants must provide two current referees and complete HARKE’s onboarding process to meet safeguarding requirements
