Streaky Bay is a small coastal town, population 1200, that is popular amongst tourists given its pristine beaches, excellent fishing and surfing and close proximity to the Gawler Ranges. There are airports at Ceduna and Port Lincoln for flights back to Adelaide, the town has a hospital, medical and dental services, along with two supermarkets, Hotel/motel, Mitre 10 and other retail and dining outlets. The R-12 school has 280 students, a supportive leadership team, with an improvement focus on writing and reading, and has small class sizes - particularly in the senior secondary section of the school.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Secondary Science teacher to join our innovative and engaging team. The role includes teaching Year 8, 9, and 10 Science, Stage 1 Biology (10 students), and potentially Stage 2 Biology (4 students), depending on the applicant’s experience. Teaching in another subject area may also be required. In addition to this position, we currently have a Primary teaching role available and encourage applicants from other teaching areas to apply, as future opportunities across various subjects may arise.
