About the role

Stagecoach Performing Arts Perth Central is seeking a passionate and experienced Dance Teacher to join our team on a contract basis in Guildford, Western Australia. As a Dance Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, engaging dance classes to students of all ages and abilities, with a focus on building their confidence, creativity, and performance skills.

What you'll be doing

Designing and leading dynamic, age-appropriate dance classes that cover a range of styles, including jazz and contemporary

Fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment, encouraging students to explore their creativity and develop their technical dance skills

Monitoring student progress and providing constructive feedback to help them reach their full potential

Participating in regular rehearsals and performances to showcase the students' talents

Collaborating with the wider Stagecoach team to ensure a consistent and exceptional educational experience

What we're looking for

Minimum 2 years of experience teaching dance to students of all ages and abilities

Strong technical dance skills and the ability to teach a variety of dance styles

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire students

A passion for performing arts and a commitment to supporting the personal and artistic development of each student

A flexible and adaptable approach to teaching, with the ability to tailor lessons to different learning styles

Relevant dance teaching qualifications or certifications (desirable)
