Part-Time Childcare Cook/Educator (hybrid role)

Smart Cookies Early Learning Centre is a family owned and operated service with over 10 years’ experience in the industry. This position will suit a candidate who is looking for a balance of work and family life.

About the Role:

Prepare lunch and afternoon tea based on a 4-week rotating menu

Ensure food safety & hygiene is maintained at all times when handling, preparing and storing food and drinks

Ensure that meals meet the dietary requirements of children with allergies or cultural food restrictions

Procure food and supplies within allocated centre budget to cater for the menu of the week

Communicate effectively with colleagues, children & their families

Work in the rooms as an educator as required and to cover lunch breaks

The successful candidate will ideally have:

Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care (or working towards) is mandatory for this role

Current Working with Children Check or willingness to obtain

Food Safety Supervisor Certificate or other relevant qualifications in hospitality/nutrition

First Aid Certificate or willingness to obtain

Excellent communication skills

Good time management skills and ability to work with minimal supervision

Previous experience in a similar role

This permanent part-time position requires someone to work Monday to Friday, 5 days a week (minimum 5 hours per day). The role can also be full-time for the right candidate if this is preferred.
