About the role

At RM Kluck Farms PTY LTD, we are seeking an experienced Irrigation Assistant to join our team in Carpendale QLD 4344. This is a Permanent full-time position that will play a crucial role in maintaining and optimising our farm's irrigation systems to support our horticulture operations.

What you'll be doing

Providing support to the Irrigationist on the following:

Determine hydraulic parameters for an irrigation system

Implement and irrigation-related program

Schedule irrigations

Select and manage pumping systems for irrigation

Interpret and apply irrigation designs

Supervise irrigation system installations

Supervise irrigation maintenance

Property maintenance

What we're looking for

Proven experience in horticulture or agriculture, with a strong background in irrigation systems management

Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and maintain irrigation equipment, such as pumps, valves, and sprinklers

Knowledge of irrigation scheduling, water management, and sustainable farming practices

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve irrigation issues

Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate records and documentation

Good physical fitness and the ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions

Minimum of 2 years' experience

Must hold Driver's license

The applicant must be willing to work weekends and some public holidays during our peak Harvest/packing period

Salary: $80,000 Plus Superannuation
