The Muru (Path) Planner plays a vital role in guiding First Nations young people on their personal and cultural journeys. “Muru” means path in Darug language, representing the supportive and culturally grounded approach this role takes in helping young people navigate life’s challenges.

This role supports participants in the Short Term Remand Pilot, providing tailored case planning and coordination across key areas such as health, mental health, disability, alcohol and other drugs, housing, education, employment, family support, and domestic and family violence (DFV).

You will work closely with young people and their families, building strong, trusting relationships and using regular face-to-face engagement to identify needs, set meaningful goals, and develop clear, actionable plans. This role requires deep cultural insight and the ability to navigate complex support systems, ensuring young people and their families receive the holistic support they deserve.
