About the Role

We are seeking a full time proactive and detail orientated Delivery Driver / Warehouse Assistant to join our team in Sumner. In this hands-on role, you will support key operational functions, including inventory management and logistics coordination. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced storeman who is looking to step up and develop their career.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management: conduct stocktake, coordinate stock transitions for daily jobs and new stock arrivals.

Equipment Preparation: Review schedules and prepare items required for job completion.

Logistics Coordination: Liaise with freight companies to monitor shipments and ensure their timely deliveries.

Operational Oversight: Resolve any discrepancies with suppliers and customers.

System Updates: Maintain accurate records in internal systems.

Safety: Ensure Warehouse health and safety standards are met and adhered to at all times.

Vehicle/warehouse maintenance: Ensure vehicles/forklift and warehouse has the required equipment that meets all regulations and is well maintained.

Objectives

Compliance with all safety and environmental procedures/responsibilities.

Maintaining and implementing all workplace health and safety procedures to make sure that the work site is safe for all workers, visitors and customers.

Motivate the workforce to ensure that products are stored and shipped out accurately and efficiently without damage.

Ensure proper transport, packaging and placement of products.

Management of Inventory (cycle counts, receiving, maintaining, restoration, replenishing and rotation of stock), including damages.

Comply with safety policies and procedures to ensure all duties are met without incident.

Requirements

To excel in this role, you’ll need:

Organisational Skills: Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.

Technical Proficiency: Experience with Simpro (preferred but not essential)

Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills

Problem-solving: A hands on, solution orientated approach to challenges.

Duties & Qualifications

Possess forklift license & must be confident in usage of forklift in a warehouse environment (preferred, not essential)

Minimum 3 years of experience within a warehouse environment (Air conditioning Industry preferred, not necessary).

Knowledge of inventory and supply chain management

Ability to work autonomously

Excellent organization and efficient time management skills.

Ability to meet deadlines and works well under pressure.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to problem solve and make sound decisions under pressure.

Previous warehouse, pick and packing experience

Manual Car License (MR Preferred but not essential)
