About the Role
As a Facilities Assistant, you’ll be part of a dedicated team responsible for:
- Helping maintain Meli’s buildings and facilities across multiple locations
- Performing minor repairs, basic maintenance, and safety checks
- Supporting office relocations, furniture assembly, and workstation setups
- Transporting items between sites and assisting with deliveries
- Coordinating with contractors and service providers
- Supporting emergency management and compliance activities
- Ensuring our workspaces are safe, functional, and welcoming for staff and clients
This role is based in Geelong and includes travel to other Meli sites including Colac, Winchelsea, and Warrnambool.

- Working either 1 FTE (38 hours per week) or 0.8 FTE (30.4 hours per week)
- $73,961 (pro-rata for part time) p/a + Super + Salary Packaging

What We're Looking For
We value individuals who bring dedication, empathy, and expertise to their roles. To succeed in this position, you will have:
- Relevant trade qualification or relevant facilities experience, including Australian Drivers License and White Card (or commitment to completing the requirements)
- Strong orientation to customer service and supporting others
- High level organisational, communication and time management skills
- Demonstrated experience of dealing with external stakeholders and complex organisations to ensure priorities and deadlines are achieved
- Competent in self-management and solution focused
- Proficiency in a range of software packages including MS Office, databases, online fleet management systems, online contractor, and asset management systems
- Experience in contributing to the development of processes and systems to improve quality of service
- Knowledge and experience in work, health and safety practices and procedures
