Hays Specialist Recruitment is currently seeking applications from experienced Concreters and Steel Fixers to work alongside the Civil Construction crews within the City of Gold Coast’s Infrastructure Division. This is an exciting opportunity to get your foot in the door with Australia’s second largest Local Government and to work alongside one of our City’s largest organisations.

Your new role
Based within City Infrastructure – Construction, you will be responsible for setting up, boxing, screeding and finishing concrete for Council footpaths, bus bays, ramps, bike paths and kerb and channel. Finishing experience is essential. In addition to this, your role will include:

Assisting team with site clean up

Heavy lifting of bollards etc.

Digging

Shovelling

Raking

Trowelling

Pouring concrete

Patch and repair cracked footpaths

What you will need to succeed
The successful applicant will come from a strong concreting background and be available for an immediate start, along with the following:

White Construction Card

Concreting experience (essential)

MR Licence (highly desired)

An up to date CV detailing your experience within the relevant field

Two references from your two most recent employers

What you will get in return
Monday - Friday role with full time hours. You will have one dedicated Hays consultant who will work closely with you throughout your assignment and liaise with you for future opportunities and availabilities.
